Mexico El Triunfo Washed
About This Coffee

The Region
Nestled at the base of the Sierra Madre, Villa Corzo is a region known for its fertile volcanic soils and temperate climate. Coffee here thrives at altitudes ranging from 1,200 to 1,500 meters, where cool, consistent weather and abundant rainfall allow for slow, steady maturation of the coffee cherries. The region’s farmers work the land with traditional knowledge passed down through generations, and their organic methods ensure that the coffee is grown without the use of synthetic chemicals. The resulting coffees from Villa Corzo are well-rounded, with a smooth body, subtle fruity notes, and a natural sweetness. It's a cup that speaks of the region’s richness—not only in soil but in heritage.

The Process
El Triunfo is a fully washed coffee, processed with meticulous care from start to finish. Once harvested by hand, the cherries are depulped and fermented for 24 to 36 hours to break down the mucilage. The fermentation process occurs in cool, shaded tanks, ensuring that the coffee maintains its clarity and vibrancy. After fermentation, the coffee is thoroughly washed and then sun-dried on raised beds, where it’s carefully turned and monitored to ensure even drying and a consistent, high-quality cup.
By using traditional methods and following organic practices, the farmers of Villa Corzo maintain the integrity of the land, producing a coffee that is not only rich in flavor but also sustainable and environmentally friendly. The final result is a balanced, aromatic coffee with a clean finish and a subtle sweetness that’s perfect for those who appreciate quality with a story.
